Updating the Free Range Camping Web Directory

For the last few months we have been working around the clock on upgrading the current Free Range Camping Web Directory.  We are glad to say it is nearly here, so you may start seeing some changes on the website.

Commenceing on Friday you may also notice some short intermittent times the site may be off line, or some technical issues as we commence the massive task of transferring our system over.   If you do experience any of this over the next week or two we ask that you are patient however, feel free to let us know if it is anything major.

Due to the release of our Free Online Maps inside the app, we have needed to update the Free Web Directory in order to make it compatible. 

The good news is that the Free Web Based Search Facility will be available again, which will allow you to find all your campsites from your PC or Laptop.

Please note that the PC version of the FRC website it different to the app which is used on smartphone and tablet devices.  We are still getting some users that attempt to download the app from either google or apple to their windows or iOS computers and lap tops.  This will not work. If you are using a PC, you just need to go direct to the website

Wiki Camps & FRC, What is the difference?

We often get asked if we are just like Wiki Camps, so we thought we would explain the differences between us.  Whilst Wiki Camps provide a great crowd sourced app, FRC have a range of additional features and benefits both in their app and as a part of the Free Range Camping Premium Members Club. 

We also have a look at what Free Range Camping means and how it covers a whole range of campsite options, and not just Free Camps.

How to get the latest version of the FRC App

The latest version of the FRC App is now available in both Android & iOS versions.  Updating the App will be dependent on your store and device.  In some cases, depending on your settings, the app will update automatically once we release it.  In some cases you may have to manually update the app.  If this is the case, the procedure is simple. 

Head on over to your relevant app store.  Look for the Free Range Camping app.  Once it appears on the screen, if you need to manually update it, you will see an UPDATE button.   Simply press on this and it will update for you.
